Blackpool top the Premier League!
Blackpool top the Premier League!

Tactically, I got this one spot on, I think. Got up early, and plugged the laptop in to the big telly in the back room and made sure all was working ok. After a lazy morning, I took the wife and sprog out for a bit of shopping and lunch at McD's in Preston Docklands - no PNE shirts there but three kids in tangerine!

Timed it perfectly to get home at half two, then surprised the wife with a twenty quid note and the news that I'd booked her an appointment at the hairdressers, so off she went. One down, one to go... so I gave junior the toy firemen set I'd bought from the pound shop, and voila!

So I settled down in front of the telly, and started looking for a live feed. ATDHE and Iraq Goals were both showing the match, but quality wasn't great. I stuck radio five on and listened to Sir Jimmy, but the tv stream was about ten seconds behind, which was frustrating. Then with about then minutes gone, the feeds all died! Panic. I remembered someone had told me about another streaming links site, so I tried that, downloaded some software, and we were back on. In fact, we were better than before, with English commentary and a high quality stream that I could watch full-screen on the big telly.

Then GTF scored. And I whooped. Junior came running in to see what was going in, and began singing 'we are Premier League' before returning to his fire engines.

The hairdressing plan didn't quite work, since the wife was back by half time. Still, at least I got a cup of tea - I was getting thirsty!

Emirates next week. Bring it on!
