Probably the best I've ever seen from Pool

What's everyone talking about?, Was it a fair result? we ask these and more questions - you supply the answers after the Seasiders first home live appearance on SKY in the Barclays Premier League.

What's the talk in the stands?

Two things only - the quality of Blackpool's play against the most expensive team in Britain, and the appalling nature of the refereeing decisions. It's all very well to talk about Tevez saving City, but if the three officials had done their job properly, Blackpool would have won 3-1. JS

Before : How tremendous to be playing a league game against the most expensive club team in the country.

During : How superbly well we played

After : How unlucky not to get anything after being the best side for at least 75 of the 90 minutes Even later (after highlights, analysis and punditry): We wuz robbed!!! DM

Was it a fair result on Saturday?

No, clearly not, both from the view of the balance of play, and from the rules of the game. Blackpool played City off the park, and the only time when they were not on top was a spell of about ten minutes following the first City goal. JS

No. Without doubt we deserved something from the game, at least a draw and probably 3 points. DM

Best chant?

Nothing really new or noticeable, but the home crowd got behind Blackpool from start to finish, and while I have been critical of some elements of the home support n previous games, there was little whingeing yesterday. Partly of course that was because the home team played so well. There was a little grumbling at Harewood when he came on - he is a different player from DJ - but they shut up when he scored. JS

None really registered as notable for me. DM

Funniest moment?

I don't recall laughing a lot. Great performance, but gutted. And the officials were three clowns, for sure. JS

A 'supporter' (not sure of which team) being escorted/evicted by stewards from a hospitality box !! Perhaps prawn sandwiches induced an allergic rage reaction!! DM

Who were Blackpool's star players?

Charlie Adam was immense, he was on top form and clearly the best player on the pitch, on either side. That said, there wasn't a player in Tangerine who did not make a major contribution, and you could pick out Vaughn, Varney and GTF for special praise. JS

All of them were at least 9 out of 10.

Defence - Eardley, just

Midfield - probable Charlie but 2 magic moments were from Grandin - first half twist and flick to beat about 3 men, and Vaughan - outpaced Johnson I think it was to the goal line and then sweetly nicked the ball off him and brought it away. Pure class.

Attack - Varney - involved in the game a tremendous amount, won balls in the air he had no right to and a threat throughout the game. DM

Any regrets?

Of course - this was a dreadful outcome from a superb performance. If Blackpool can play like this with any regularity they will not be in any danger, but the problem will be to raise their morale again. JS

Sad to see someone taken ill before the game in front of J block - any news anyone?

As far as the game is concerned - no regrets apart from the result. DM

Opposition any good?

Not particularly - Silva was excellent when he came on and he took his goal brilliantly. Other than that we only saw glimpses, but that was down to Blackpool - they simply didn't allow City to play. JS

Obviously a decent side and so they should be for the money but BFC outplayed them over the 90 minutes. In terms of the result Tevez was the difference, Viera still a class act from his cameo at the end and Silva can play a bit but the Blackpool TEAM were better than City!! DM

What next?

Birmingham. A difficult trip, and the key will be whether Olly can get the players back in that frame of mind. JS

Get over the disappointment. Forget about luck, good or bad, and carry on playing the football we are doing (probably the best I've ever seen from Blackpool) and the necessary points will follow. We'll play much worse than that and win. DM

Final thoughts?

We wuz robbed. JS

We lost, but I was absolutely thrilled by the standard of football we played and the entertainment value of the match itself. DM
