Town haven't won at home in the league for five games going back to December 10 and rarely looked like ending that run after Alex John-Baptiste's opener.

After a very quiet start, Blackpool were first to threaten with David Fox and Roy O'Donovan forcing good saves from Richard Wright.
It was no real surprise when Blackpool went ahead on 28 minutes with Baptiste ending a neat passing move by firing home Fox's clever ball.

Straight away, Blackpool had a chance to regain the lead when Dudley Campbell played in O'Donovan but his firm low shot was well held by Richard Wright.
Danny Haynes lashed a 25-yard drive just over before the break and just after he crossed for Jon Stead to try an athletic bicycle kick which Matt Gilks parried away.
O'Donovan's long ball saw Campbell run on and shoot wide, while Gareth McAuley's header from Owen Garvan's corner dropped into the grateful arms of Gilks.
Substitute Velice Sumulikoski quickly got involved, crossing for Haynes to tee up Stead, but he volleyed over.
Alex Bruce made a great challenge to deny Campbell as he burst on to a Gary Taylor-Fletcher flick, but it was Town doing most of the pressing.
They almost won it in the 86th minute when Pablo Counago glanced on a Miller corner, but Fox scrambled the ball off the line.
