Holloway- Seasiders still face battle to avoid drop

The Seasiders continued the remarkable progress they have made in their maiden Barclays Premier League campaign with Wednesday night's 2-1 victory over Liverpool at Bloomfield Road.

The result means Holloway's side have taken 28 points from their opening 20 league fixtures and are seven points clear of the drop zone in ninth place.

But asked if he accepted that Blackpool now had an outstanding chance of survival, the manager said: "No, not in this division.

"I've looked up how many points people get towards the end and they all have a good run at it, so you need those points as quickly as possible.

"Four more wins will give us 40 points and we have 18 games to do it, but it's still a huge ask - look at the fixtures."
