Holloway hails Charlie Adam quality

The former Rangers midfielder was named in Craig Levein's first Scotland squad since taking over and Holloway believes he will remain an integral part of his future plans.

Holloway joked: "If Craig Levein doesn't think he is good enough to play for Scotland I will eat my hat.

"Charlie has been absolutely outstanding."

Meanwhile Holloway is still dreaming of play-offs

The Seasiders lie in seventh place on 54 points with seven matches remaining.

A strong end to the campaign could yet see them claim a coveted play-off berth and victory at Plymouth on Saturday would take them past last season's points tally.

"That's us definitely safe now with 54 points and we're on target to beat the 56 we got last year," said Holloway.

"I'd like to beat last year's tally by quite a few points and if we do you never know."
