Midfielder Gary Taylor-Fletcher succumbed to injury during last weekend's win over Reading and was replaced by Hameur Bouazza after just 22 minutes.

Taylor-Fletcher will be assessed ahead of this weekend's game but Danny Coid (hamstring), Daniel Nardiello (groin), and Billy Clarke (knee) all look set to remain sidelined.

Steve McPhee is steadily recovering from a long-term cruciate ligament injury but the forward is not yet ready to be considered for a return to first-team action.

Holloway's men are in buoyant mood after two successive home wins and three consecutive clean sheets.

Blackpool's midfielder David Vaughan says he is delighted with being recalled to the Wales squad for next Wednesday's friendly against Sweden in Cardiff.Vaughan missed the 3-0 victory over Scotland in November with injury.

"Playing for your country is a big honour so it's good to be involved," Vaughan told BBC Radio Lancashire.

"I'm pleased to be back in the squad so hopefully I can carry on where I left off in the last couple of games I played before that."

The 27-year-old, who joined Blackpool from Real Sociedad in August 2008, made his international debut against the United States in May 2003.

Vaughan feels Blackpool manager Ian Holloway has helped to develop his style of play and this latest call-up is just rewards for the effort.

"The way we play the system suits me," he said.

"The manager's brought a few new ideas which have improved the team and everyone's enjoying playing for him.

"No-one expected us to do as well as we have this season. I think we've proved a number of critics wrong so hopefully we can keep it going.

"Everyone's looking forward to the games and we know we've got a chance of winning every game so at least we're not having to worry about relegation."

Neil Eardley and vauaghan will both travel to Oakwell for the game tomorrow, will join up with the rest of John Toshack's squad for the friendly against Sweden on Wednesday.

Blackpool manager Ian Holloway admits a number of members of his squad are playing for their long-term futures at Bloomfield Road.Holloway said he will only deal With the 13 players who are out of contract at the end of the season.

"If the players are good enough they might get a new contract," he told BBC Radio Lancashire.

"But if they're not I might have to change them. That isn't a threat, it's just a fact."

He added: "Hopefully they'll want to show me by giving that bit extra like they have all season."

Whatever we do this season we've got to try and be better next year

Blackpool boss Ian Holloway

Holloway hopes his current squad can muster a concerted push for the Championship play-offs.

The Seasiders are currently seventh in the Championship following back-to-back home wins over Middlesbrough and Reading.

"I think we've got a bit of a swagger about the place," he said.

"We've now kept three clean sheets in a row. We look like we can score and don't look like we'll concede and we look like a good footballing and attacking side.

"We are at the business end of the season and we're a little bit further off the pace than we wanted to be. So we're going to need a big run of back-to-back wins.

"Do I think we can do it? Yes I do. But whether we can achieve that at the right time who knows.

"If we don't do it it won't be as good a season as it should be. But whatever we do this season we've got to try and be better next year."
