Simon Grayson moved today to dampen any rumours that were circulating that other clubs were interested in one of last seasons star performers by agreeing a 2 year deal with a third year option for the former Leeds and Celtic full back Stephen Crainey.

It was to Crainey's credit that Blackpool's problematic left full back spot which had seen droves of players unsuccesfully tried in that position was finally resolved with teh arrival of Crainey who occupied the position throughout last years campaign.

Crainey a hugely popular player with the fans who will see this deal almost as important as the club managing to keep hold of Grayson for the forthcoming season.

Claus Jorgensen will also now join the players back for training after penning a 1 year deal with a further 1 year option.
