Blackpool V Watford at Bloomfield Road - Match Preview

Ince blow for Seasiders

Blackpool are once again likely to be without Thomas Ince as they look to maintain their strong start to the season against Watford.

The Tangerines, currently defying pre-season predictions to sit second in the Sky Bet Championship table, have been missing their star man in their last three games, first due to suspension and then a thigh injury.

The England Under-21 international was targeting a return to full training towards the end of this week.

Central defender Gary MacKenzie (hamstring) is definitely unavailable in an area which is a concern for manager Paul Ince given Craig Cathcart (knee) missed the 1-0 win over Reading last time out.

Watford duo Almen Abdi and Lloyd Doyley are expected to be fit to travel.

Influential midfielder Abdi missed Wednesday's 2-0 Capital One Cup victory over Bournemouth with a foot injury, although it is likely he would have been rested in any case.

Defender Doyley, meanwhile, sat out with a thigh strain but both will make the trip to Bloomfield Road as the Hornets look to continue their unbeaten start.

Defensive duo Nyron Nosworthy (Achilles) and Tommie Hoban (ankle), who are both yet to feature this season, remain sidelined.
