Front coverbWhat is Blackpool’s highest score  in League football? How did the First Lord of the Admiralty view Jimmy Hampson? Could the Dutch Cup holders defeat Blackpool at Bloomfield Road?

These are just three of the over 400  facts that are contained in this book that covers the life and times of Blackpool Football Club from its first incarnation in 1877 through to the present day.

Taken from the author’s vast archive of records, they are  presented in no particular order  but are all fascinating while also being sometimes sad, sometimes amusing, sometimes controversial, sometimes almost unbelievable and often somewhat bizarre.

The book is ideal to browse in an idle moment and hopefully will find a place on every Blackpool fans’ bookshelf as well as being of interest to the football fan in general.

This book is written by Blackpool FC historian Gerry Wolstenholme and follows on from Peter Gillatt's Blackpool On This Day published in 2009. This illustrated book soon to be published contains over 50,000 words covering 146 pages and contains a foreword by Blackpool FC's Ian Evatt.
