Meet the Posh

1268675793-peterborough-united1)      Who are you, how long have you followed the Posh and what do the Posh mean to you?

Londornroad.net is one of the unofficial Posh sites and has regular posters from around the world. Based on the amount of time people spend on-line it looks like Posh is everything and some should get a life!

2)      After promotion how has your pre-season gone?

Pre-season was a non event. Few exciting signings, no exciting games but at least we didn't bother with the anti-climax of playing second string premierships sides.

3)      How is your squad shaping up for life in the Championship?

The squad is shaping up to be better than last time but we are under no illusions of the struggle ahead. We're expecting another 2 or 3 signings before the end of August and now have cover in most positions. The key test will be how much we miss Craig Mackail-Smith and we'll need Ajose or Ball step and score regularly up as our defence still looks a little suspect.

60652_news4)      Your thoughts on Darren Ferguson?

How can you criticise a manager who's brought 3 promotions to the club? He is a proud man and will want to prove he can hack it at the Championship level after his previous experience at Posh and Preston. He has regained the trust of most fans and gets the team playing football the right way.

5)      You’ve started with a home win so what are your thoughts ahead of the game on Sunday and what are your strengths and weaknesses?

Strengths are when we go forward, weaknesses against Palace was our ability to deal with pacy counter attacks. We always look like we'll conceed at least one in a game so fans can always look forward to seeing a lot of chances. A draw at Blackpool would be a great result; we know the games we need to win this season and this isn't one of them.

6)      What is your prediction for Sunday and why?

The majority of fans are predicting a Blackpool win, 2-1 seems to be the popular prediction. You have that bit of quality and experience we're lacking but expect an open game with chances at both ends.

7)      Who do you fancy for promotion and who do you think will struggle.

Promotion favourites should be the 3 clubs that came down, you can probably add Southampton and Leicester in there as well (we hope not), but it's really too early to tell. As for those that will struggle, hopefully not us, Palace looked poor and I hope that a few others will do likewise, maybe Bristol City, Doncaster and Barnsley.

8)      Finally any thoughts on the Seasiders.

A few people saw the game at Hull. You din't look great at the back so we're thinking you'll give up a few chances on Sunday. Consensus is you're decent fans and we are sad to be playing you this season. Your season in the Prem should make you a force to be reckoned with for a few years.
