Blackpool FC have confirmed reports that they have contacted the FA and lodged a formal complaint that Queens Park Rangers have made an illegal approach for the highly rated Seasider defender Kaspars Gorkss

Pool boss Simon Grayson has expressed his annoyance with Rangers who annouced last week the signing of Gorkss who despite a further year left on his contract has an early release clause said to be in the region of £250,000.

Grayson added: "I had been fully kept up to date that we'd had no official approach. Everyone does different types of business but it does not seem like the correct procedure. The chairman is now dealing with it, along with the Football League and the FA."
